Medieval Display Village

The Medieval village is run by the Barony of River Haven, which is a re-enactment group that is a part of the Society for Creative Anachronism LTD (SCA).

River Haven is based in North Brisbane, but has members from all over Queensland, even up as far as Rockhampton. The SCA, is a family-friendly, non-profit, educational organization whose aims include re-creating the arts and crafts of the pre-17th century world.

They get together to learn all sorts of skills and crafts from cooking to fighting and everything in between, and have a good time doing it.

This area is free for all to attend and will be in residence for the entire Beltane Community Gathering. Within the encampment the SCA will have markets stalls, demonstrations of crafts and if the weather lets them, fighting displays. If you see something interesting within the encampment, please come over and have a chat to the friendly members.

All are welcome and is free entry to everyone.
