In 2025 the Nordic Wolf Clan presents Idunn’s Rite as this year’s ritual at Beltane.
This is a Nordic Wolf Clan Rite Who is Idunn she is The Norse Goddess of Youth, Rejuvenation, and… Apples
There will be an altar set up for her, with both hers and her husband Bragi's idols.
Members of the clan will be drumming, Story time with a few members who will explain who Idunn is and her place in the Norse pantheon.
Bret Wills known to the clan as Bardi, will lead the ritual with support from other Clan Members including Adam Strupek
The ritual will start with creating a sacred space with offerings to the Landvættir being made by members of the clan and drumming as you enter the newly hallowed ground.
Keep thoughts of gratitude and appreciation for the land and spirits in mind as you enter and say thankyou by being bare feet or placing your hands on the ground for a moment and reflect on the importance of the land wights.
A grass roots connection is formed. You will bring with you into the ritual space the piece of paper that you were given at the reception desk when you booked into Beltane.
You will have written on it the health problems you don’t want anymore, or you wish to address with help from the gods, or people you care about and like to seek aid for, whether it be mental, spiritual or physical.
Invite your ancestors to hold this space with you as you enter. These pieces of paper will soon be thrown into the fire and released to Idunn for her blessing.
After a personal cleansing by Adam Strupek is when you throw your intentions to the flame and you will receive a shot of Iduun’s Elixir (recipe below) and then a slice of Apple as that represents Idunn
Bret Wills will then lead a guided drum meditation before rituals end for about 10-15 minutes
Idunn's Elixir will be supplied by Adam Strupek. Also known as fire cider it is an ancient European folk medicine that dates back approximately 500 BCE.
Historically speaking it used to be called Oxymels which was a mixture of vinegar and honey Over the years different European cultures added their own ingredients to make a potent anti viral, anti bacterial and anti inflammatory potion that is known to heal from the inside out.
A typical recipe is equal parts ginger, garlic, onion, horseradish, turmeric, cayenne pepper or chili, citrus fruits, and honey if desired. You then cover the mixture with apple cider vinegar, place a lid on and you let it sit for at least 3 months stirring it once a week. This can be done in smaller jars or large vats depending on how much you wish to make. After 3 months you can strain the mixture into bottles and do a shot every morning for fantastic health and immunity. Adam has his mixture sitting for around 6 months for maximum potency. The beauty of this brew is that you can add any ingredients you desire. He has added cinnamon, dill, radishes and all sorts of herbs and spices to make a personalized brew.
Please feel free too approach Bret, Adam, or any clan members if you have questions after ritual.
May we honour the ancestors respect the Vættir and impress the gods... Now a writing from Bret Wills (Bardi) BLOODFIRE
The tongue springs from the heart and gives forth power of communication and understanding and the brain is a filing cabinet for knowledge.
Both important but heart is energy and energy is life. My perspective is that same energy is what bridges the divide from the physical of emotion to the spiritual in devotion and from that we have “Bloodfire”
One can not find a true passion without an ignition of the heart. Bardi Nordic Wolf Clan
The Ritual will be held in the ritual space and is only for Beltane Ticket Holders
