Register to attend the launch of the 'On the Heights' exhibition.
Discover the adventurous spirit of the Sunshine Coast at On the Heights. This exhibition takes you back to the early 1900s, featuring breathtaking photographs by A. A. 'Bert' Salmon and others, and curated by historian Michael Meadows.
Stories include the Clarke Sisters (c.1912), who cycled from New Farm to Bankfoot House for a weekend of climbing, challenging gender norms of their time.
Alongside accounts of the Dimes Sisters and other pioneers, these images reveal how women carved out a place on the heights, escaping the limits of conventional society.
Free entry. All welcome.
Parking available nearby.
