August 4: “The Sniper” by Liam O’Flaherty
September 1: “How to Pronounce Knife,” “Chick-A-Chee,” and “Edge of the World” by Souvankham Thammavongsa
October 6: “The Summer People” by Shirley Jackson
November 3: “The Lottery Ticket” by Anton Chekhov and “Contents of the Dead Man’s Pocket” by Jack Finney
December 1: “The Burglar’s Christmas” by Willa Cather (under the pseudonym “Elizabeth L. Seymour”)
