Hell Yeah!About this EventAbout the Class: This class focuses on the techniques used in short-form improv comedy games. Each class will concentrate on a specific type of short-form game and the skills needed to perform it successfully. The goal of this class is to establish a general understanding of different types of short-form improv games and how they differ from other styles you might see on stage!Class Schedule: This class runs for two and a half (2.5) hours for six (6) sessions on Thursday from 7pm-9:30pm. Those dates are 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, no class on 11/26, 12/3, and 12/10. The Class Show will be Sunday 12/13 at 5pm.Class Requirements: This class requires students to have completed Lancaster Improv Players Improv 101 Class to take this class. If you have equivalent training, please seek our Education Director Approval. You can seek that by emailing this event a question.Important: Please check your email the week prior to the start date of your class for any updates.To qualify for the class show you must:Adhere to the Lancaster Improv Players' Code of Conduct.Attend at least four of the six sessions (ideally all six).Attend at least two improv shows during the length of the class. During the class you receive standby tickets for all of our regular shows. These tickets get you into shows for free so long as the show has not soldout!Tickets are on sale until end of day Monday 10/26!About the Teacher: Angie has been honing her craft in improvised comedy since 2015 and has been a proud member of the Lancaster Improv Players (LIP) since 2020. She currently coaches LIP's house team, Peach Soda, and performs with two other house teams. With a strong background in both short-form and long-form improv, Angie encourages performers to embrace their unique creativity, quirks, and individuality on stage. Known for her love of playing eccentric characters—goblins, ghouls, witches, and other delightfully strange beings—Angie brings a refreshing and unpredictable energy to every show. Come out and join the fun—there’s always something exciting happening!About The Space: This class will be in our BRAND NEW 8 W King St Location!! It is on the second floor which can be accessed via elevator just a few steps from where you walk in! Full details on the space will be emailed closer to the start of the class, so keep your eyes on your email.Scholarships: Some scholarships are available to partially or fully cover the cost of the stated class fee.
