- **Event Description**: Our speaker this month is Dr Christopher Donaldson who will be speaking on, “Over Sands to the Lakes”: Journeys Over Morecambe Bay Before and After the Age of Steam’. Christopher Donaldson is an essayist who has written about various aspects of the social, cultural and geographical history of North West England. He has held academic roles at Lancaster University and the University of Birmingham.

The meeting will be held at 7.30pm at Rowley Court, Scotforth Road, Lancaster LA1 4NP (opposite the Boot and Shoe pub), Free Parking is available, in the Rowley Court Car Park, at the HiQ tyre centre next door and by kind permission of Booths Supermarket (2 hrs max) opposite. The nearest bus stop is outside the Boot and Shoe and is served by services 1/40/41/42 and 100 from Lancaster City Centre.
  
Non-members are welcome as are donations and membership applications!
