Other instruments gently and intuitively woven throughout part of the sound immersion by Lana Ryder make this a unique, creative one-of-a-kind soundscape. (This event had originallybeen postponed from December)Stella Heysek is a seventeen year old cello player, vocalist and actress. She is an upcoming junior at Capital Area School for the Arts in Harrisburg, majoring in music. She has always been drawn to healing others and is very interested in learning more about how to use music to do so. Her main aspiration is to change the lives of others in a spiritually healing way with her music and help allow other people to understand the true power and impact music can have over their lives.Lana Ryder is known throughout the area as a pioneer and way-shower for introducing people to the transformative power of sound, voice and music for fifty years in one form or another. Her background and education as a professional vocalist, worship music director, certified holistic health coach and licensed massage therapist contribute to her success as founding director and senior instructor of Soundwise School of Harmonic Therapy in Lancaster, Pa. She has introduced thousands to the benefits of sound,voice and music leading many to refer to her as Sound Mama or Sound Grandmother. She comes from a long line of both professional musicians and healers, and is honored to carry on that legacy in a little different way.Mats, cushions and blankets are provided, but feel free to bring your own. Several chairs are available for those who need or prefer them.Enter the Liberty Place building through the double wooden doors on the left front of the building on Liberty Street. Someone will be there to let you in from 5:30-5:50pm. After that, the doors are locked. We start on time at 6:00pm. Plenty of free parking in the lot across from the front of the Liberty Place building.Afterwards, you are welcome to stay and enjoy a cup of tea and a chocolate if you like.
