The Kenneth Stainbank Trail Run returns as the first trail event of the year — the perfect way to reset, refresh, and get those legs moving again.

Set within 253 hectares of protected wilderness inside the Kenneth Stainbank Nature Reserve, this event winds through purpose-built singletrack and a beautiful mix of landscapes, from open grasslands to cool riverside forests, with glimpses of the reserve’s history as a rehabilitated dairy farm.

The routes are fast, flowing, and highly runnable — ideal for chasing a personal best, easing into the year’s training, or getting newcomers confidently into trail running. Keep your eyes open along the way… zebra, antelope, and other wildlife often make an appearance!

And after your run? Relax on the lush lawns surrounding the iconic Coedmore Castle. This is one of our most family-orientated events — pack your picnic baskets, bring your people, and make a morning of it.
