Join us at Fort Steilacoom Park for the final race of the year — your last chance to crush those mileage goals and loop your way into the New Year feeling accomplished!

At Loop Out the Year, you decide your challenge: run for 3 hours, 6 hours, or 8 hours on a scenic looped course. Go as far (or as easy) as you’d like — it’s all about having fun, finding your rhythm, and finishing the year strong with a supportive running community by your side.

Event Details

Loop Out the Year will take place at Fort Steilacoom Park, with all distances starting and finishing at Shelter 1. The course features a 5K loop utilizing the park’s beautiful trail system. Participants will run as many loops as they can within their chosen time event.

After each loop, runners will return to the start/finish/aid station to check in with a volunteer so their lap is recorded before heading back out. The course passes through the nearby parking lot, and participants are welcome to use their vehicles as their own personal aid stations. However, all runners must still check in at the official aid station after each loop to ensure their distance is counted.

Whether you’re chasing a personal distance record or simply celebrating your year of running, Loop Out the Year is the perfect way to close out your season surrounded by community, challenge, and a whole lot of fun.

Aid Station Offerings

Our aid station will provide light, common food fare. We will provide water and several different types of electrolyte blends. We will be providing warm beverages throughout the run and soup at the finish. There will be limited gluten-free and vegan options available. If you have special food needs, please be prepared to provide your own.

6 Hour: 8:00am
8 Hour: 8:00am

Each event will start at 8:00am and have staggered finish times.
Handmade Finisher Awards for all Finishers.
Special Awards for the top 3 from each category (male, female and non-binary).
