- **Event Description**: The annual WIPS Fundraising Auction and Holiday Party will occur on December 6th at the Clements Center in Lakewood. You never know what paleontological treasures you'll find -- from fossils to books to art. It's for a good cause. Proceeds from the auction help fund WiPS' grants and scholarships for research and education in paleontology. Doors open at 1 p.m. for setup, silent auction bidding begins around 2:30 p.m. A verbal auction for very special items will be held at 3:30 p.m.
