Are you confused by all the different settings on your camera? A little nervous to get into shooting manual? This is the perfect class for you! My name is Kevin, and I've shot under the name Rozay Films doing photography and videography in the Cleveland area for 5 years now. I am mostly self taught with some help along the way, and I remember how difficult it was for me to get into the field due to the lack of mentorship I was able to find. I've decided to put my expertise back out into the community in a practical setting, teaching the basics of using your camera, understanding how the settings work and how to make your camera work for you! My specialty is with CANON brand cameras and lenses but I can assist with any and all! I emphasize that this will be a workshop for camera beginners - things we will go over will include:understanding your camera settingslearning the exposure triangle and how shutter speed / fstop / iso all work together and how to get the most out of themhow to achieve a good 'bokeh' effect (that creamy blur)explanation of different lenses (prime vs telephoto, different focal lengths, etc)how to understand what camera/lens you should invest in. lighting/flash photography and how to make flash work for you. This class will require that you already have your own DSLR/Mirrorless digital camera, as well as at least one lens. I will bring some of my extra gear but I will not have enough to go around. This workshop will be outdoors at Madison Park and time permitting we will work on some photos outdoors! If the class is going well I am open to staying later, but we may have to split into multiple classes.
