Psychosocial Assessment:Emotional Disability and ERMHS(Preschool Age Focus)

Join Diagnostic Center North (DCN) presenter Melodi Dewey, Licensed Educational Psychologist (LEP) and School Psychologist, for a session focused on building skills for effective interdisciplinary assessment of preschoolers.

Participants will learn how to review records, design and conduct interviews, and perform dynamic assessments that provide a complete portrait of students’ skills and areas of need. The session will emphasize interdisciplinary practice and collaboration to ensure comprehensive, high-quality evaluations.

Participants will:

• Describe a process to complete a collaborative and legally defensible assessment.
• Identify tools to determine students’ pre-academics, language and communication, cognition, adaptive behaviors, and socialization.
• Develop skills for effective interdisciplinary collaboration.
