We will have Polk County cattlemen, a dozen head of cattle, a live podcast recording, nature fun-day activities, and more! This family-friendly event is open to guests of all ages to come and learn about the history of our county, Circle B, the cattlemen who helped shape this landscape, and how greenspaces like ranches help to provide habitat for wildlife.Agricultural spaces like ranches, and the cattlemen that manage them, play a vital role in the overall health of our native ecosystems and the wildlife found within them. Prescribed burns, grazing of invasive species, and the management of waterways, all help to create habitat not just for the cattle, but for the other animals that call it home. In addition to this, these spaces create green space connections for our larger native fauna, such as deer, the Florida Panther and black bears alike.
