The City's Code Compliance division is partnering with Keep Polk County Beautiful for the annual Dump Your Junk event. Event details are listed below:
Saturday, March 28, 2026
Location: 450 Scenic HWY, Lake Wales, FL 33853
From 8:00am to 12:00pm, or until dumpsters have reached capacity.
City of Lake Wales residents have the opportunity to dump unwanted and discarded items for FREE! Residents must provide staff a copy of their City of Lake Wales water utility bill to participate as this event is for City residents only.
Accepted items include furniture, appliances (no freon), and construction debris.
Items NOT accepted: tires, yard debris, hazardous waste (liquids, chemicals, paints, batteries), industrial waste, infectious waste and food waste).
Staff cannot assist with unloading, so be sure to bring help if needed!
