Myron Elkins is a Midwestern country and Americana crooner with a commanding sound rooted in blue-collar heartland rock. At 23 years old, he has become one of music’s most intriguing new artists with his Dave Cobb-produced debut album, ‘Factories, Farms & Amphetamines.’ Musically, the album reflects the gritty mix of classic rock, country and the blues Elkins heard growing up, putting the album squarely in the league of Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers, Bob Seger, and the Allman Brothers. Fittingly, Elkins boasts a wise-beyond-his-years voice with a broad range.
From deep in the heart of the country arrives the beguiling sounds of D. Smith. Crafting rich songs that reflect the lives and landscapes of middle America, Smith captures listeners with his warm vocals and expressive delivery. D. is another local artist that has meant a lot to the Concert Series over the years, playing the Stone Pier stage with The Maytags in 2015 and again as a solo artist in 2021. His return to open the July show will be a special addition to this anniversary season.
