Cardboard Boat Race Rules:
1). Boats may be constructed of corrugated cardboard and duct tape only! (Cardboard tubes are not corrugated) Boats must be constructed prior to the race on your own time.  Decorations are allowed provided they are not used as structural or flotation elements.
2). Boats may contain 1 or 2 passengers. All passengers will need to sign a waiver the day of the race. Minors will need parental consent signed the day of the race.
3). Passengers must wear an approved life jacket.
4). Passengers must provide their own paddles. 
5). Judging will be based on race completion and time. Awards will be given for top times and a variety of other categories.
6). Sabotaging other boats will result in disqualification (throwing water on another boat, rough housing in the water, etc.).
7). When races are finished contestants must remove and dispose of their boat and any other cardboard debris.
8 ). Boats may only be raced one time in each division.  The same boat may not race more than once in the same division with different passengers; however, the same boat may be raced more than once if it is in a different division (ex: one time in junior and one time in advanced ).
