He was principal of a private school for dyslexics and gifted children for 18 years and has been training teachers in OG Basic, OG advanced. oG preschool, OG ELL and Multisensory Math for over 20 years and has created thousands of materials for teachers. After leaving the private school, he worked for the state of Hawaii department of education as a special education teacher and trainer. He has also founded an OG therapy Centre in Singapore and an organization based in Denver where they train and certify teachers in dyslexia, reading and OG. Special emphasis is public school teachers where he has modified OG for small group and whole classroom instruction. He also founded and is director of the Dyslexia and OG Institute of Hawaii. Ron has also been president of the Hawaii Branch of IDA and Vice-president of the Academy of Orton-Gillingham Practitioners and Educators.
