Dust off your bell-bottoms and polish your platform shoes! The Veterans Art Center Tampa Bay (VACTB) and GPS4Vets are proud to announce their 2026 joint fundraiser: The “Disco Fever” Dance Party. This high-energy event will take place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, bringing the community together to support mental health, career transition, and artistic healing for Florida’s veteran population.
Following the success of their previous collaborations, these two leading veteran-service organizations are joining forces once again to bridge the gap between military service and civilian success. All proceeds from the evening will be split between VACTB’s alternative art therapy programs and GPS4Vets’ comprehensive transition navigation services.
“Art and community are two of the most powerful tools we have for veteran suicide prevention and healing,” says Major Mack Macksam, Founder of the Veterans Art Center Tampa Bay. “This disco party isn’t just about the music; it’s about celebrating the resilience of our heroes and ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive.”
Event Highlights Include:
Dance Competition: A "Best Disco Moves" contest judged by local celebrities.
Costume Contest: Prizes for the most authentic 70s attire.
Silent Auction: Featuring unique artwork created by local veteran artists.
