The John Henry Ensemble celebrates jazz, gospel jazz, blues, and the music of the Great American Songbook. Dr. Henry is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts and Director of the Music Program at A&T State University.

Dr. Henry is currently Director of the Greensboro Big Band, where he sings and plays bass trombone. His love for the music of the big band era shines through with each song and performance. Dr. Henry brings energy and variety to his shows by collaborating with various jazz musicians and vocalists in the Piedmont Triad area. Rev. Dr. Henry is also Pastor of Holmes Grove United Methodist Church, where he combines his love of music with his love for God. The John Henry Ensemble will include Turner Battle on Keys and Paul Foster on Bass, and other guests.
