Lake Geneva, WI — The American Legion Frank Kresen Post 24 Family proudly invites the community – especially children - to join in honoring America’s founding with the fallen heroes at the 2026 Lake Geneva Kids’ 4th of July Parade, taking place Saturday, July 4, 2026. The parade begins at 10 a.m., at Eastview Elementary School ending at American Legion Post 24, 735 Henry Street, Lake Geneva.  The parade will cover approximately ½ mile of distance on paved city streets.  
The theme for the Kids’ Parade is in "America - 250 Years", inviting participants to decorate their bikes, wagons, etc. to best honor our shared American heritage, progress, and history. The parade ends at the Post 24 building with American Legion Auxiliary team selecting "best of" in various age categories from those participating in the parade. Ice cream will be available for the kids as well.  The American Legion Post Building will celebrate an Open House to the parade participants and the public after judging and remain open until 2:00 pm.  
About American Legion Post 24 
The American Legion is a community of veterans in the Lake Geneva area who are not yet done serving. The American Legion (Post 24), the American Legion Auxiliary, the American Legion Riders, and the Sons of The American Legion, are known collectively as the American Legion Family. 
American Legion Post 24 was Chartered in 1919, joining a rapidly growing American Legion in the wake of the Great War (World War One).  Today the American Legion is a leading advocate for veterans and their families, striving to secure benefits like the GI Bill and the establishment of the VA health care system. Post 24 supports the American Legions’ core pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth, which shape our programs and activities.  
To date the Post has been a focal point for the community, providing scholarships to graduating high school students, sponsoring fundraising activities, hosting military honors for funerals, parades, and events; providing support to our veterans and their families.  Post 24 sponsors Scout Troop 235, the Legion Baseball team, as well as other community youth sport and development activities.
