- **Event Description**: In the early morning hours of Monday, November 3rd, 2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m., the McGovern family’s lives were forever changed. While traveling home from Oklahoma, their vehicle struck a deer, setting off a devastating series of events.
Their Suburban left the roadway after the impact, colliding with a raised ditch before going airborne and rolling multiple times. During the rollover, Luke was ejected from the vehicle.
Luke severed a nerve in right wrist, torn spinal cord, dislocated right hip, broken neck, fractured and compressed spine, misaligned vertebrae, and multiple lacerations to his hand and mouth. 

Luke underwent a seven-hour surgery to decompress spinal nerves, fuse his neck with rods and pins, realign his spine, and repair his spinal cord as much as possible. His recovery will be long and uncertain, but he remains strong and determined.

We are organizing a benefit for the McGovern family to help assist with Luke’s ongoing medical expenses and to help make his home accessible:

Come for the spaghetti dinner or the silent auction. All proceeds will go directly to the McGovern family.
