Holiday Helping Hands Returns Christmas Day to Serve the Southwest Louisiana Community.
Hosted by Panorama Music House * In Partnership with Waters Edge Gathering* Fueled by Local Restaurants & Businesses
Holiday Helping Hands, a beloved Southwest Louisiana Christmas Day tradition, returns this year with an even greater mission: to ensure that every member of our community has a warm, festive holiday meal and the comfort of knowing they are not alone.
Hosted at Panorama Music House and presented in partnership with Waters Edge Gathering, this annual event unites restaurants, small businesses, and generous volunteers to provide a completely free Christmas dinner to anyone in need.
On Christmas Day, volunteers will gather at Panorama Music House, 331 Broad Street to prepare and serve a traditional holiday meal complete with turkey, ham, classic sides and seasonal treats, Thanks to the generosity of locally owned restaurants and businesses across Southwest Louisiana, hundreds of meals will be served on-site, and additional meals will be delivered directly to individuals and families who cannot attend in person.
Families with children are encouraged to attend – Santa will be on-site with free toys and gifts for any child who needs a little Christmas joy.
Last year more than 1,000 meals were served through this community powered effort. With rising needs across the region, organizers aim to meet or exceed that impact again.
“Holiday Helping Hands is what Lake Charles is all about -community, compassion and showing up for one another,” said event organizers. “No one should spend Christmas hungry or alone. This day is for everyone.”
Community Members, restaurants, and businesses interested in donating food, volunteering or partnering for this year’s Holiday Helping Hands event are encouraged to reach out for further information.
