Those who attend become PSA Trainers and are able to offer the PSA standardized curriculum to train fresh produce growers under the supervision of a PSA Lead Trainer. The training meets the regulatory requirements in the FDA's Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) Produce Safety Rule.EXPECTED QUALIFICATIONS PRIOR TO ATTENDINGIndividuals are expected to have attended at least one PSA Grower Training (GT) and have basic knowledge in four competency areas:Produce Safety Scientific Knowledge and ExperienceFruit and Vegetable Production KnowledgeEffective Training DeliveryKnowledge of the FSMA Produce Safety RuleMore information about becoming a Lead Trainer can be found here: http://producesafetyalliance.cornell.edu/training/train-trainer-courseREGISTRATIONThe fee for this course is $400.
