# Event Details - **Event Name**: Tree Seed Collection Day - **Event Start and End Date**: Fri, 16 Oct, 2026 at 10:00 am (+01:00) - **Event Description**: Join us for a day in the woods collecting tree seeds, berries and nuts and learning about our rainforests.About this EventWe'll be at Glencanisp on the Assynt Foundation estate looking for Rowan, Birch, Hazel, Alder and others tree seeds.Sunday 13th September, 10am - 4pmFriday 16th October, 10am - 4pmSeed collections will be led by Roz Birch from our partner charity, Trees for Life, while our ranger, Chris Goodman, will explore the wildlife that makes up these special woodlands - an opportunity to get up close to some of the rare lichens and mosses that make these woodlands so unique.A wonderful way to spend the day in the tranquility of the woods, quietly noticing wildlife, meeting others and helping the future of these vibrant rainforests.
