🌟 Description
Lahore Basant Festival 2026 marks the glorious and safe return of Punjab’s most iconic spring celebration! After years of hiatus, the skies of Lahore will once again fill with the vibrant spectacle of kites. This two-day cultural extravaganza, held in designated historic areas like the Walled City, is a celebration of spring, Punjabi heritage, and joyful community.
The Experience: Join thousands of revelers dressed in traditional yellow attire to enjoy controlled, regulated kite-flying contests, exhilarating folk music, traditional Bhangra and Khattak dances, and a diverse range of authentic Lahori and Punjabi cuisine from registered vendors. As the sun sets, witness the magnificent Basant Night—the Walled City illuminated in a kaleidoscope of lights as kites dance under the stars.
Safety First: The festival is strictly regulated by the Punjab government to ensure the safety of all participants and citizens. Only officially registered, barcode-enabled cotton string (dor) will be permitted; the use of dangerous metallic or chemically-coated strings is strictly prohibited and carries severe penalties.
