Parking
Advisable to use LOT 16, LINK: 1900 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach 92651)
$5 weekdays with access to free trolley to the festival. Also, limited metered parking is located in front of the festival on Frontage Road and along Laguna Canyon Road, prices ranging from $3.60 to $6.45/hour. Meters accept credit cards only. Additional paid public parking lots and metered parking areas are located near downtown Laguna Beach (a short walk), such as Lot 10 and Lot 11 located at 635 Laguna Canyon Rd, Laguna Beach, CA 92651.
About the Sawdust Festival
A Southern California tradition, the 59th Sawdust Art Festival features the artwork of 180 local Laguna Beach artists, 3 stages of live music, complimentary art classes, glassblowing and art demonstrations, and a variety of outdoor dining and drink offerings - all set in a unique artist village in the heart of Laguna Beach. Sawdust Festival Admission
Single-day admission tickets may be used any day of the summer festival. $12 for Adults. $10 for Seniors, ages 65 and up.
5 p.m. - Meet at the Sawdust Festival entrance
5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. - Sketch the grounds of the Festival
7:30 p.m. - Gather to share our work, make introductions and take a group photo. (Location to be determined the evening of event)
8:00 p.m. - End
All are welcome whether beginner or seasoned pro. Bring your favorite sketching media. An easel if desired and maybe a folding chair or stool. There are also many benches and chairs where you may sit and work. If you’re new to sketching, your equipment can be as simple as a pencil and a sketchbook! Pack a sweater or jacket, it cools off in the evening! ** Please be considerate of the Sawdust Artists and do not set-up directly in front of or copy original artwork **
