Southern Dutchess Concert Band at Freedom Park in LaGrange

Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening in the beautiful bandshell at Freedom Park (sponsored by Southern Dutchess Concert Band ourselves!) The park is located at 212 Skidmore Road (click on the map - the address is Pleasant Valley although it's really in the Town of LaGrange). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets: Admission is Free.

The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include music celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Broadway musical "Hamilton", a tribute to local Medal of Honor recipient Charles Johnson titled "Eternal Flame", and a medley of Louis Armstrong's hits. The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.

If it should sprinkle, this concert will be held under the shelter of the bandshell.
