Winding Stairs Park

3.6 miles - moderate for terrain and elevation change.

Joint hike with the Sumner County Chapter. The City of Lafayette, Tennessee’s natural jewel, Winding Stairs Park, features multiple scenic cascades and flowing streams. The route includes optional stairs and a concrete path but is mostly rock, dirt and gravel with a creek crossing or two.

Wear footwear appropriate for rugged trail; hiking poles are recommended. Pack snacks and plenty of water. Meet at the parking area, 655 Nature Trail Way, Lafayette, TN at 9:30 a.m. There are restrooms at the trailhead. Those interested will enjoy lunch afterwards at Gibson’s Café in Lafayette.
