Calling all homeschool families!
Join us on Friday, Nov. 7th at 10am for a book reading by co-author, Nikia Reaux. She will be reading an excerpt from her newly released book, "The Magical Adventures of Charlotte and Fischer". It is a small illustrated chapter book intended for kids age 7-10, following a spunky little girl named Charlotte and her magical talking piano named Fischer. Together they travel back in time to 1824, but get stuck in Vienna after attending a major symphonic debut.
Following the book reading there will be:
-A brief discussion about the importance of music and music education
-A medley performance by Nikia of "Music Through the Years" referencing popular composers like Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart, ending with pop and film favorites like the Beatles, Star Wars, and Frozen.
-Instrument Petting Zoo (Kids age 6+) - Sola Violins from downtown Lafayette will be coming to set up a few string instruments for children to try out.
