What is stop the bleed?

Stop the Bleed is a national awareness campaign intended to encourage bystanders to become trained, equipped and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. Someone may be breathing, but if they are bleeding it is only a matter of time.

Why do you need Stop the Bleed Training?

A life-threatening bleeding injury can happen anywhere, and the person next to a victim may very well be the one most likely to prevent fatal bleeding. An ACS Stop the Bleed course will help you become an immediate responder by learning how to control bleeding injuries from serious accidents or disasters. This could be a car accident, and active shooter incident, an explosion, or any other type of incident.

You have the opportunity to leave this training Stop the Bleed certified!

who is teaching and what makes them qualified?

Bryan "MC" McMaster, a certified Stop the bleed instructor, is not just certified to teach civilians, law enforcement, fire fighters, but also to certify new instructors.

MC is also a Marine Corps Combat veteran that spent much of his time in service in Afghanistan. I have witnessed him personally saving lives under pressure and very chaotic situations.

MC also spent time as a medic with a fire department, dedicating more of his life to putting others lives before his own, and saving as many as possible!

That being said MC is not just an instructor that went to a course and got a certificate, he has lived this, experienced it, has seen its importance, and wants to share that experience and knowledge with you!

This Stop the Bleed course is the beginner course and the prerequisite to our intermediate and advanced training courses. Look forward to these being scheduled later in the year. 

This event will be limited to 20 people to ensure that everyone gets plenty of hands on time and has a good grasp on the information before testing/becoming certified!
