Quilted Jacket

Let's show off your love for quilts! You can find lots of beautiful examples on Pinterest and Instagram. This jacket can be reversible too! Bring a quilt that you don't mind repurposing and we'll supply patterns and tips. Donna suggests that thrifting a quilt, a chenille bedspread, or something of the like, would be a great option, before cutting into your keepsake quilt:)
You'll learn to select and cut quilt pieces, sew simple seams, and assemble a stylish wearable art piece. Perfect for quilters, sewers, or anyone who likes unique fashion.


Session 1: We will meet for an introduction to this Tamarack Jacket pattern and how to customize it just for you. At this first session bring the quilt or blanket you want to work on. NO machine needed this week. We will prepare our patterns and hopefully cut out our quilt pieces.

Session 2: In this session we will sew our jacket pieces together. and discuss different pocket options.
We will also focus on bindings and closures.
