Join us at The End Lafayette at Dog House Music Studios on December 19th for On the Spot Cabaret. Doors open at 6:30PM and the show starts at 7:00PM with cocktails, beer, wine, cider and seltzers, plus some snacks and coffee to help y’all enjoy your night!
These two unlikely partners—Samantha Trouble and Madame Fox—bring you a lounge-style musical improv show that turns audience suggestions into original songs, live, in real time. Expect an evening that shifts fluidly in mood and style: sometimes sultry with a hint of burlesque, sometimes emotionally rich, always hilarious. From jazz to folk, torch songs to show tunes (or something you’ve never heard before)—they riff, they play, they improvise—all driven by your prompts. One moment you might get a smoky jazz ballad, the next a cheeky cabaret number or a comedic parody. These entertainers will make you laugh and touch something deeper. They don’t shy away from emotional notes, even in improvisation.
Samantha Trouble and Madame Fox first met in prison. (Don’t ask what for. The story changes every time.) What’s important is that their escape plan turned into a musical partnership — and now they’re serving up songs, sass, and off-the-cuff comedy strong enough to knock your martini glass right off the piano.
The End Lafayette at Dog House Music Studios is a cozy 75-person live music venue nestled inside the recording studios of Dog House Music. Our shows are intimate affairs where each guest is invited into the recording studio to experience small batch local live music. Many of the bands and artists on stage have written, rehearsed, and recorded their music right from the studio you'll be standing in! We support and promote Colorado bands and artists who are creating and re-inventing the Colorado music scene, and we invite you into the studio to have a listen!
