# Event Details - **Event Name**: Mini Makers - **Event Start and End Date**: Sun, 25 Oct, 2026 at 10:00 am – Sun, 25 Oct, 2026 at 11:00 am (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Mini Makers is a joyful, skill-building art class designed especially for children ages 4–6 (flexible suggestion) who are ready to take the next creative step toward independent making. This class blends storytelling, foundational art techniques, and imaginative crafting in a supportive environment that honors curiosity and creativity. Each session begins with a gentle drop-off period to help children transition confidently into the studio space. We open class with a beautifully illustrated picture book that inspires the day's project and nurtures the connection between art and storytelling. From there, children dive into hands-on exploration (cutting, gluing, drawing, painting, stamping, collaging, and more) as they begin to use real tools and materials with purpose and pride. Projects are developmentally appropriate, open-ended, and designed to build both confidence and foundational skills. Weekly Book & Skill Focus: Each week, we explore a art-inspired, children’s book that encourages both creativity and connection. Our story selections are thoughtfully chosen to nurture social-emotional growth—encouraging children to recognize and express feelings, practice patience and persistence, celebrate individuality, and build confidence in their creative voice. Inspired by each story, children will develop fine motor skills, experiment with new tools and materials, and learn to see art as a joyful way to understand themselves and the world around them. What Makes Mini Makers Special: 📚 Story + Art Connection: Each class begins with a picture book that ties into the artistic concept or technique, encouraging language development, emotional expression, and imagination. ✂️ Foundational Art Skills: Children begin developing creative habits like how to hold scissors, mix colors, follow steps, and make choices in their art. 🌈 Creative Confidence: Kids are encouraged to explore, take creative risks, and express themselves freely while learning new processes. 🌿 Gentle Independence: This is a gentle drop-off class—caregivers are welcome to stay nearby at the start, and each child is supported at their own pace as they grow more independent. Weekly themes + inclusivity: Sensory and project themes change weekly and each class is designed to be inclusive for all types of learners. We are quickly able to accommodate, make changes, and ensure that your artist has the most creative fun! What to Bring: Dress your child for mess! Please send them in clothes that can get painty, sticky, or colorful. Bringing a change of clothes is always a good idea. We use non-toxic, food-safe materials, and are happy to accommodate allergies—please inform us on your registration form and speak with your instructor before class. Why Families Love It: Mini Makers gives children the perfect balance of creative structure and playful freedom. It’s a nurturing, developmentally aligned class that supports both artistic skill-building and social-emotional growth during the magical early years. Notes: Registration is only needed for our little artists. Bring a friend or sibling for a discounted price (automatically applied at registration.) Also, select more dates and get more discounts.
