- **Event Description**: Being a therapist in intimate relationship gives you both an edge in effective communication and relational knowledge—it also, often, defaults you to carrying more of the emotional health of your relationship and family. And for partners of therapists, you may feel behind the curve on the language and some of the skills your partner uses, even when your intention is to fully support the relationship. This imbalance can create frustration, disconnection, and even resentment. 

Due to the intensive relational nature of therapeutic work, therapists need to be held too. Meanwhile, partners of therapists want connection that may not be available after their partner's long day of supporting other people's nervous systems. 

The Embodied Intimacy Masterclass for therapeutic professionals and their partners offers a space to practice bodyful communication skills, broaden your relational vocabulary, and deepen your connection as you both are held. 

This is a space where you get to receive facilitation to deeply connect with your partner. You get to bring your wisdom while still being human. On this day, you don't have to lead, you don't have to track. You get to be you.

Melissa will take you through a refreshing dive-in with your partner where you get to work together to press into your personal edges with compassion and inspiration. 

Here's what we'll do:

- Explore fundamental intimacy skills - Map out the "we" of the two of you in your full-bodied selves, your resilience, and in your challenges.
- Explore embodied consent as a practice.
- Practice whole-body communication and bodyful touch.
- Learn the whole-person sexual response cycle and co-create a meaningful sexual intimacy.
- Create a shared language for emotional and intimate connection.

This full-day workshop will be highly experiential with an ample lunch break for rest and integration. Touch between partners is optional, consensual, and non-sexual.

Workshop fee includes a personal 30-minute preparatory call with Melissa + full-day workshop.
