The middle part of the hike, before and after our lunch stop, will probably display the most diverse wildflowers and other native plants.While there is some steep uphill climbing to and going along Briones Crest Trail, it is mostly downhill after lunch. From Bear Creek Road, enter the park. After passing the entry kiosk, continue straight to where the road is gated so that you can go no farther. Park in the large parking area to the right. He has also worked with Urban Advantage to produce photo-realistic visualizations of better urban design. Previously, he worked for many years as a securities analyst in Japan and the Bay Area. With Janet Byron, he co-wrote the book Berkeley Walks, featuring self-guided urban tours. A 3rd edition of the book has been released.
