Class Experience:
Art Exploration is a hands-on, process-based class designed for early elementary-aged artists and homeschool families. This program blends creative play with foundational art concepts, allowing young artists to experiment, explore, and express themselves freely. Each session introduces new materials, techniques, and famous artists, making learning both engaging and fun! 

Each class is offered independently, but we encourage full-semester enrollment for the best experience. At the end of the semester, students will celebrate their work with a mini art exhibit for families and the community to enjoy.

Spring 2025 Weekly Projects:
? Week 1: Picasso Self-Portraits
 Inspired by Pablo Picasso, students will create abstract, Cubist-style self-portraits using bright colors, bold shapes, and mixed media techniques.
? Week 2: Clay Paint Palettes
Students will design and sculpt their own reusable paint palettes from clay, learning about form, function, and ceramic techniques.
? Week 3: Treehouse Relief Sculptures
Using layers of cardboard, paper, and found objects, students will create textured relief sculptures of imaginative treehouses!
? Week 4: Earth Day Eco-Printmaking
Students will create nature-inspired prints using recycled materials and natural objects like leaves, flowers, or textured cardboard. 
? Week 5: Perspective 3D Folds
Artists will learn about perspective by folding and layering paper to create a pop-up 3D illusion in their artwork.
? Week 6: Painting Like Mark Bradford
Inspired by contemporary artist Mark Bradford, students will experiment with layers of paint, collage, and texture techniques to create bold, expressive works.
? Week 7: Art Show Prep & Play!
Students will help select and display their favorite works for our end-of-session art exhibit while enjoying fun, creative stations.
?️ Week 8: Art Show (No Class – Open Exhibit for Families!)
