2026 Easter Vigil Mass

Bishop Douglas Deshotel warmly invites the faithful of the Diocese to experience the beauty and power of the Easter Vigil Mass — the most sacred and solemn liturgy of the entire Church year. On this holy night, we gather in darkness and await the light of Christ. We listen to the story of our salvation proclaimed through Scripture, witness new members welcomed into the Church through the Sacraments of Initiation, and rejoice as the Alleluia returns in celebration of the Resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus Christ.

All are encouraged to contact their parish for local Vigil Mass times, or join us at the Cathedral of St. John the Evangelist, where Bishop Deshotel will serve as principal celebrant at 8:00 PM on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Come and experience the night when darkness is conquered by Light, death is defeated by Life, and hope is restored through the Risen Christ.
