The Central Walbran Valley is currently closed because of ongoing protest activity toward industry operations in the area. Because of this, we have shifted the event to a new destination to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees. 

We’ll still be meeting at the Mesachie Lake Baseball Diamond at 10:00 AM and departing at 10:30 AM sharp before heading out along the legendary Gordon River Road corridor toward Port Renfrew for a scenic full size friendly soft roading adventure packed with old growth forest, history, and unforgettable views. 

Along the route we’ll be stopping to explore:
• Lonely Doug
• Avatar Grove
• The Greirson WWII Plane Crash Site
• Scenic viewpoints throughout the Gordon River Valley 

Participants can expect:
• Scenic forestry roads
• Incredible old growth forest
• Shelf roads and mountain scenery
• Waterfalls and river scenery
• Relaxed convoy style travel
• Full size friendly routes 

For those wanting to extend the adventure, there will be optional camping. 

This is shaping up to be an unforgettable Vancouver Island backcountry adventure and an amazing opportunity to explore one of the island’s most beautiful regions alongside a great community of outdoor enthusiasts.
