- **Event Description**: Dear Parents and Educators,

Your child(ren) is(are) invited to write a book all of their own! Whether it’s something they have always wanted to try or were just recently inspired! The Ladoga Library is partnering with Bloomington author, Kim Howard, to present a Young Authors Camp January 27-31. It will run from 4:00-6:00 PM each day and on the final day will culminate with a “Meet the Author Night” at the Old Normal to celebrate their accomplishments. 

Kim will be visiting Ladoga Elementary and Walnut Elementary on Monday January 27 to talk about how anyone can be an author and we want to teach them how! 

Monday evening at the library, Kim will give a short presentation about how to pick a topic, followed by a writing activity, small snack (dinner not provided) and some games! Each night will follow the same schedule but have a different theme. Tuesday will be writing, Wednesday - editing, and Thursday - publishing. Then on Friday, we will meet at the Old Normal to celebrate any student who finished at least 75% of their book! 

This program is specifically geared toward kids 8-11 years of age but we would welcome children younger or older who can sit through the 30 minute presentations and are willing to follow directions and work quietly when asked.
