Thurston County Expo Center at the Thurston County Fairgrounds

3054 Carpenter Road SE, Lacey, WA 98503

Doors open at 5:00 p.m.
Program begins at 5:30 p.m.

This event is designed to give voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates, learn more about their backgrounds and priorities, and ask questions about issues that matter to our community.

This is not a formal debate. It is a community-focused candidate meet-and-greet and forum intended to encourage an informative and respectful conversation between candidates and voters.

Each candidate will have an opportunity to introduce themselves and discuss why they are seeking office. A Thurston Chronicle representative will then ask several questions before we turn the evening over to you, the voters of Thurston County.

Audience members will be invited to ask candidates questions directly. A Thurston Chronicle staff member will bring a microphone to you so you can ask your question. Prefer not to speak in front of the crowd? Written questions will also be accepted.

Candidates will receive equal time to respond, and the speaking order will rotate throughout the evening.

Candidates who are unable to attend may send a designated campaign representative to participate in the meet-and-greet and provide an opening statement on behalf of their campaign.

Following the formal forum, candidates and campaign representatives are encouraged to stay and visit one-on-one with members of the community.

Come meet the candidates. Ask your questions. Hear their answers.

Hosted by the Thurston Chronicle.
