Following the success of Specialty Skills Part 1, SURGIA is returning to the G40 Anatomy Labs for an exciting new evening of hands-on learning across general surgery and orthopaedic surgery.

Join us on Wednesday 23 September as we take you through two specialised procedures that will challenge your technique, sharpen your surgical thinking, and give you a taste of what happens beyond the lecture theatre.

🔹 Cholecystectomy | General Surgery
Get introduced to the world of laparoscopic surgery as you explore gallbladder removal, surgical anatomy, instrument handling, and the principles of safe operative decision-making.

🔹 Achilles Tendon Repair | Orthopaedic Surgery
Practise tendon repair techniques, improve your suturing confidence, and learn the key principles involved in restoring one of the body’s most important tendons.

You will rotate through both practical stations under the guidance of experienced surgical demonstrators, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, handle instruments, and learn alongside fellow medical students.
