- **Event Description**: We are very pleased to share that, due to the strong community response and the clear need for this conversation, Fresh Start Recovery and Wellness Center will be hosting a community presentation on psychologically safe workplaces with Debbie Samson on June 24th from 7:00 - 8:30pm. 

For those who may not know her, Debbie Samson worked for 25 years with the Employee & Family Assistance Program at IOC and was also widely known through her involvement with the Respectful Workplace Program. Her work focused on mental health, workplace wellness, crisis support, and helping individuals navigate stress, trauma, and psychological challenges.

Today, Debbie speaks not only from professional experience, but also from lived experience, after facing the personal impact that workplace psychological harm can have on mental health and the nervous system.

This session will focus on workplace stress, burnout, psychological harm, harassment, trauma, and the importance of creating safer, healthier spaces for people to work and heal. These are conversations that matter deeply in Labrador West, and we are grateful to be able to help provide a space where this topic can be brought forward with care, respect, and understanding.

Please note that this will not be a counselling session, but rather an educational and community-based presentation focused on the topic of psychologically safe workplaces. For anyone who may not feel comfortable speaking in the group setting, Debbie has kindly offered to stay back for a few minutes afterward for a brief private discussion related to the topic.
