What: Cranksgiving is a bicycle ride to stores around La Porte for collection of non-perishable food items that will be donated to a local food drive. All you need is a bicycle, a bag, and a lock to participate! This is part bike ride and part scavenger hunt to collect food items for donation.

Where: Center Township Trustee’s Office, 1108 West State Road 2

How: You will ride to one store purchase one item, then repeat until the time to return is up. The idea is to return by the end time for all riders with the most points collected according to the information sheet based on what stores you visit.  

NEW this year, we will be organizing teams of 2-3 people to bring some friendly competition to a great cause!  Sign up today as an individual below and start thinking about who you want on your team for your chance to win the coveted Cranksgiving traveling trophy!

Why: Cranksgiving is an opportunity to experience the joy of bicycling around La Porte while contributing to a good cause collecting food items for donation to the local food drive.

NOTE***Please complete the form below if you plan on riding your bike in the event for food donations. Helmets are strongly encouraged, but not required for participation. Riders must obey all traffic rules of the road.***

***ALTERNATE: Food Donations may also be dropped off leading up to the event date and through the end of the event on Sunday, November 16th until 3 pm.***
