Join us for the 5th annual Tenkara Bug Out where we will explore fishing with traditional Japanese style tenkara rods.
This years location of LaPine, OR will give us access to some world class water including: the Fall River, the Deschuttes River, the Crooked River and the Metolious River.
If you like big fish energy, some of these rivers hold 20"+ fish as well as some fish weights hitting double digits.
If fishing smaller more intamate settings is your vibe, we got you covered.
We will have some amazing door prizes by our sponsors along with a raffle event to support local conservation efforts.
This is the schedule overview, we will have a more detailed schedule as we get closer to the event.
Friday 6.26.26 - We will be out on the rivers fishing (on your own) and then in the evening we will meet around the commmunity campfire to connect and share ideas.. Maps with river location and good access points will be provided ahead of the event.
Saturday 06.27.26 - Tanuki Tenkara Boot Camp will be hosting the Saturday events with a focus on learning through presentations as well as hands on learning. We will end this day around the community campfire to connect and share ideas.
Sunday 06.28.26 - We will be out on the rivers fishing (on your own) Maps with river location and good access points will be provided ahead of the event.
Event costs
**Entry into the event $50 per person
** Group Camping $60 for the weekend Up to 3 nights (Thursday, Friday & Saturday) More details on camping will be provided in March.
If you want to attend but the entry and camping fees are a roadblock for you, we will have a few scholorships available.
Registration will be open in March.
