Hello Dog Lovers!
Despite the title, you DON'T have to own a dog to join us on this great hike, just enjoy being around them.
The Rim Trail at Mission Trails Regional Park is a great route to take both with friends or friends and "fuzzy" friends. This trail offers a spectacular view which can be wide-ranging on the clearest days. One will enjoy the trek along a vegetated ridge line overlooking much of San Diego to the south and west. To the east, Fortuna Mt. rises like a scruffy hog's back, and below, at its foot, lies the pristine valley of Suycott Wash. Hikers have a good chance of seeing cotton tail rabbits, road runners, and red-tailed hawks flying high above.
