	•	Moderator: Natchee Blu Barnd (PhD alum '08)?: 02:15 PM - 02:30 PMA Tribute to Dr. Martin Boston (ES PhD, 2019)Info: We honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Boston, who earned his PhD in Ethnic Studies at UC San Diego in 2019 under the advisement of Prof. Dayo Gore. His dissertation, Be(Long)ing: New Africanism &amp; South African Cultural Producers Confronting State Repression in an Era of Exile, illuminated the cultural and political work of Black South African artists in diaspora. At the time of his passing, Dr. Boston was Director of Pan African Studies and Assistant Professor of Ethnic Studies at Sacramento State, as well as Editor-in-Chief of African and Black Diaspora: An International Journal.
