This instructor-level program builds on the proven Guardian Pistol Red Dot curriculum and focuses on refining your ability to teach, coach, and evaluate shooters using pistol-mounted optics.
Course overview
This is an instructor development course — not a certification program. Through classroom instruction, hands-on coaching labs, and extensive live-fire application, you’ll develop advanced teaching techniques, diagnostic skills for student performance, and coaching strategies you can immediately apply to your own instruction.

Dates: January 17–18, 2026
Duration: 2 full days (16 instructional hours)
Location: Range 21:31, Buckeye, Arizona — Arizona I-85, just south of I-10, just north of I-8 (Gila Bend)
Tuition: $500 per instructor
Class size: Limited to preserve an optimal instructor-to-student coaching ratio
Eligibility
Open to certified firearms instructors in one of the following categories:
AZPOST certified firearms instructors
Any other POST-style state law-enforcement firearms instructor certification
FLETC or other Federal Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor certification
NRA Civilian Division, NRA Law Enforcement Division, or USCCA Certified Instructors
Please have proof of instructor certification ready at registration.
Evaluation
Evaluation consists of a live-fire performance assessment and a short teaching demonstration to evaluate practical coaching and instructional effectiveness.
Continuing education
This program is eligible for NRA Law Enforcement Division Continuing Education Credits.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT & AMMUNITION (Read carefully)
Firearms & optics — Primary duty pistol configured for instructor use (red-dot optic preferred), secondary pistol if available, holster, spare batteries, basic toolkit, etc.
Minimum magazines: 5 per pistol (recommended 6–8).
Ammunition: Minimum 600 rounds (recommended 800–1,000 rounds) — factory quality only; adjust per caliber.
PPE: ANSI eye protection, electronic muffs + plugs, long pants, closed-toe shoes, hydration, notebook, etc.
Administrative: proof of instructor certification, registration confirmation, signed waiver (if provided), etc.
