We will explore the nuts, fruits, taproots and tubers, mushrooms, seeds, greens, and more from this time of year and learn how to find and identify the plants that offer them. We will dig into processing methods with some of these foods and learn about preparation and storage for winter. We will have a full day of forays, education, and discussion, while gathering some of fall's abundance throughout the day for participants to take home. We will enjoy a delicious and largely wild lunch prepared by Tamsen Morgan. Date: Sunday, October 4, 2026 Time: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Lunch will be provided. Ages: 8+ (ages 8-17 with a participating adult) Location: Rural La Farge, WI Instructions: We recommend wearing long pants and close-toed shoes, and bringing a backpack with a notebook, water bottle, bags for gathering, a shovel, and any other learning aids desired.
