Led by founder Greg Cahill, the group continues to deliver a vibrant contemporary bluegrass sound deeply rooted in tradition while remaining committed to innovation and musical excellence. Over the years, Special C has released 22 recordings and received two Grammy nominations and eight International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) awards. In June 2025, the band released its newest album, Been All Around This World, on the Nashville-based Compass Records label to celebrate its Golden Anniversary.
