Join Emily Sustar, RPYT, RYT 500, & Birthing From Within mentor, Erin Edwards, LPN, IBCLC, former long time doula, & L & D nurse, & Corrine Jandrt, RPYT, RYT 200, doula, & holistic childbirth educator, for a comprehensive childbirth preparation course designed to empower both the birthing person and their partner. This course will cover the basics of birth; what happens in labor + delivery & postpartum, coping techniques, movement, breath, and strategies to add to your toolbox for the birth journey, mental and physical preparation for the parenthood transition, the 4th trimester, and breastfeeding / chestfeeding preparation + support.

Week 1- Empowered Pregnancy = Empowered Birth
(scaling expectations, labor theater, pain vs suffering, mindset work, mantras, breath, movement for pregnancy, birth plan, + intentions, coping tools)

Week 2- Basics of Birth + Movement for Labor (basic anatomy, overview of phases / stages of labor & birth, putting it all together & putting it into practice)

Week 3- Immediate Postpartum + 4th trimester (newborn cares, mama repairs, PMADS, boundaries for help postpartum, setting up postpartum support game plan)

Week 4- Breastfeeding Basics (initiating breastfeeding, the golden hour(s), the first 2 weeks, bottles, pumping basics)
